Joey Bush Walk for Term 3
Event information
Hi Parents and Carers,
Let's get excited for the second bushwalk of the year!
We will be meeting at Stanmore Station at 09:20 for 09:38 train to central station, where we'll change for the T1 train to Waverton. (Please bring an opal card)
Once arrived we will walk down to Waverton Park, then to 'Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability'.
Here we will walk the 'Balls Head Reserve' loop, which will take us back to 'Coal Loader', then back to Waverton station.
We will catch the 14:08 train from Waverton to Wynyard station, then change to catch the T3 train back to Stanmore station.
This allows about 4 hours total for the walk and playing, with the train estimated to return to Stanmore station at 14:41.
Joeys are required to wear their 1st Leichhardt Scout scarves but do not need their Joey shirt.
Parents must accompany Joeys for the duration of the walk.
Please bring a small day pack with the following:
- Packed lunch
- Snacks, - Please avoid nuts as we would like to keep the walk nut free for those with allergies
- Full drink bottle of water
- Comfortable walking shoes/sneakers or hiking boots.
- Hat, sunscreen
- Warm jacket, raincoat (if rain is predicted).
- Hand sanitiser
- Plus any medication that may be required.
