Joey Bush Walk
Event information
Hi Parents and Carers,
Meeting time is 9am and we estimate the total time will take about 2 hours, with the walk concluding around 11am. The Starting point for the Joey bushwalk is at the Earlwood Carpark behind the Senior Citizens Centre (Entry Via Joy Ln, off Homer St). We will follow the Wolli Creek walking track until we get to the park (Turella Tk N) where we will have a morning tea break and the Joeys can play on the equipment; after that we will head back the way we came to the carpark.
Joeys to wear their 1st Leichhardt Scout Scarves or their white scarf that got handed out in the last meeting. (Do not need their joey shirt)
Bring a small day pack with the following:
- Packed morning tea
- Snacks, - Please avoid nuts as we would like to keep the walk nut free for those with allergies
- Full drink bottle of water
- Comfortable walking shoes/sneakers or hiking boots.
- Hat, sunscreen
- Warm jacket, raincoat (if rain is predicted).
- Hand sanitiser
- Plus any medication that may be required.
- A small first aid kit and compass is optional.
We will be representing Scouts Australia on this walk, so expect Joeys to behave appropriately and respectfully at all times.
